Microsoft Outage LIVE Updates:
Microsoft announced on Thursday that it is investigating issues with its cloud services in the Central US region, which have caused disruptions worldwide. Major airlines, including those in Delhi and Mumbai, reported that the outage has adversely affected their operations. Akasa Airlines stated that some of its online services will be temporarily unavailable at Mumbai and Delhi airports. Similarly, Spicejet mentioned experiencing technical difficulties in providing flight updates.
Indigo Airlines confirmed that its systems have been impacted by the Microsoft outage, affecting booking, check-in, boarding pass access, and some flights. US-based Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Frontier Group Holdings Inc., grounded flights for over two hours, attributing the cause to Microsoft service issues. Allegiant Air, another discount carrier operating around 130 aircraft, also reported problems with reservations and bookings.

The outage has also impacted several sectors in Australia, such as airlines, telecommunications providers, banks, and media broadcasters. Additionally, some banks in New Zealand reported being offline.
Impact in India
The disruption in Microsoft’s services has affected industries worldwide, including airlines and banks. Spicejet released a statement acknowledging the technical issues affecting their flight update services and assured customers that they are actively working on a resolution. They apologised for the inconvenience and promised updates as the situation improved.
Microsoft’s Response
On its service status website, Microsoft emphasised its commitment to addressing the issue with the highest priority and urgency, focusing on the lingering impact on the remaining Microsoft 365 apps that are degraded. In a post on X, Microsoft 365 Status announced their investigation into the issue impacting users’ access to various Microsoft 365 apps and services. They are working on rerouting the impacted traffic to alternate systems to alleviate the problem more quickly and remain focused on redirecting traffic to healthy systems.
